Input needed on Trade...

Hi Guys,


I need some input on a trade.

I had someone offer me Tony Romo, Ahmad Bradshaw, Jeremy Shockey

In return for:

Antonio Gates, Hines Ward, Cadillac Williams.

I am stacked at WR and RB. But I need a good QB. Romo has my interest in this deal.

At WR I already have:
Randy Moss
Wes Welker
Marcus Colston
Donald Driver
Hines Ward

At RB I have:
Frank Gore
Michael Turner
Brandon Jackson
Knowshon Moreno
Peyton Hillis
Cadillac Williams.

My QBs:
Favre
Garrard
Freeman.

Do you guys think I should make this deal? I believe with the right QB, I can win this pool. I am confident in all other aspects, except, I now downgrade from Gates to Shockey at TE, but improve on QB. The question is, does the difference between Romo and my other QBS do justice to my loss from Gates to Shockey....
Any input is appreciated.

how many teams are in this league that you can go out and get Gore, Turner and Moreno?? and get moss and colston at the same time? either way you will be downgrading in a big way from gates to shockey. its not worth it. the RBs in the deal are irrelevant because you have so many. Basically you must ask yourself, does the slight upgrade from favre to rome justify that big of a downgrade at TE? i dont think so.

I would have to agree with roundrobin gates to shockey is to big of a drop off. Farve isnt that bad he had 1 bad week you cant expect last years #s but top10 Qb for sure. If you really want to get a qb package a Rb and farve to get 1. Shit you have jackson im sure who ever had grant can really use a rb right now get there qb and give them a rb.

Hey guys, thanks for the input.

I already pulled the trigger on the trade.
There are 8 teams in my league, 15 starters, 9 bench players and 1 IR.

Its a crazy deep league, and because of that I needed the upgrade.
What I did was I snagged Peyton Hillis off waivers this past Monday then swapped Moreno and Shockey for Jermichael Finley and Malcolm Floyd.

My thinking here is that I have Gore, Turner, Jackson, Bradshaw. Moreno was expendable. It really breaks down to me trading:

Gates, Ward, Cadillac, Moreno, Shockey

for

Romo, Bradshaw, Hillis, Finley, Floyd.

I may not have the #1 TE in the league, but I now have:

2 top 10 QB's -
Favre, Romo (Garrard on my bench)

3 top 10 RB's
Gore, Turner, Bradshaw

And a whole slew of receivers. I would say it was a fairly even trade all-in-all. But to be completely honest, this is my first time doing a Fantasy league. Please be honest with me and let me know if I got hosed and I don't see it....
